Wythnos Treftadaeth Cymru

By Alan Llwyd

Mae ein hiaith yn ein mwynhad; - yn ein gw’yl
Mae hen gwlwm cariad;
Yn yr hwyl mae ein parhad,
Ein hanes yn ein huniad.

Welsh Heritage Week

(translation by Sian Frick)

Our language is our pleasure; - in our festival
Is the old bond of love;
In the enjoyment is our continuation,
Our history in our joining.

Welcome to the official home page of Welsh Heritage Week!  Welsh Heritage Week is a week-long course on everything Welsh, including: language lessons, folk dancing, clogging, hymn singing, harp lessons, Welsh literature, and so much more.

Every four or five years, WHW goes “on the road” to Wales. Read this article to get a feel for just how wonderful it can be!

The 2011 course will be held at Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.  July 17 to 24, 2011.  For more details click here.  Remember, there are scholarships available for EVERYONE, you just need to apply.  There is still room available for this year. We need to know that you are coming no later than July 5th.

The 2010 course was held at Keuka College, in Penn Yan, NY.  Read all about our 30th anniversary here.

Are you curious about attending WHW, but wondering if it’s for you?  Read this (fabulous!) article written by a first-time attendee to see just how wonderful it really is!!

Are you on Facebook? So is Welsh Heritage Week...come check us out!
